Meet the Bon Vivant Tote—made for big days and built with mess-friendly coated canvas to handle real-life chaos—stylishly. It fits a 16” laptop in a padded sleeve, your Stanley in a bottle holder, and your daily extras in cleverly designed compartments. Now with a 150cm adjustable crossbody strap, zipped closure, suitcase strap, key clip and a coffee-coloured lining that makes finding things easy. Finished with metal feet to help protect the base—because this tote’s designed to keep up, beautifully. The largest of our tote 3 sizes.

  • Coated canvas bags: Natural canvas with wipeable and water-resistant TPU-coated external
  • Jute canvas bags with leather trim: a tight weave, durable jute canvas with a refined leather trim. Splash proof, but not a coated finish. 
  • Regular coated canvas totes (excludes any with leather): Gingham, Floral and Natural totes are unbleached canvas with natural flecks and coloured design printed. While canvas is quite durable, unfortunately some clothing dye can still affect any lighter materials so not immune to getting some marks. We recommend mild detergent on the outside (NOT including jute canvas - please wipe with a damp cloth) - or a product like the Twoobs Blooper Booper to remove marks as they happen. 
  • Jute canvas totes with leather trim: Jute canvas is a larger-weave material than a tight cotton canvas, and as such is not something that is coated. While it is fairly resistant to splashes, it is recommended that you treat the item like the leather trims - protect and clean any marks as quickly as possible. Some clothing dye can still affect any lighter materials so not immune to getting some marks. We recommend mild detergent on the outside (NOT including jute canvas - please wipe with a damp cloth) - or a product like the Twoobs Blooper Booper to remove marks as they happen. 
  • Note for images: internals will match your bag - black used for indicative purposes only. We recommend spraying a waterproof spray on bag internals for extra protection as coating is external only

COATED CANVAS: Our TPU-coated canvas does feel a little different to straight cotton, but that's the beauty of it - instead of it attracting dirt, you can wipe it away so your bag stays looking better for a lot longer. It feels a little more rigid with this coating and may have a slight sheen to it.

Please note there may be up to 1cm difference in measurements depending on the hand craftsmanship of each bag.

CARE

Cotton canvas is a durable material - the TPU coating makes the external of the bag resistant to more dirt and water - please keep in mind it is not completely stain proof, be sure to clean spills etc ASAP. To clean, wipe gently with a baby wipe or mild soap - vigorous rubbing may cause abrasion/damage to the coating. Store out of direct sunlight, avoid abrasive surfaces. We recommend using our Collonil waterproofer to help care for your items. Clean gently with soft, damp cloth or spot clean with care, avoiding hardware. Rain exposure should still be avoided. Avoid rubbing this material against colour-contrasting materials as some dyes may stain irreparably, protect it from ongoing UV exposure, heat, liquids and greasy substances where possible.

    Sturdy carry all work bag

    Finally took the leap and bought this large version to replace the small version of this bag. Love Love love it. This bag now replaces 3 bags I used to carry with me to work. I now fit laptop, lunch box, umbrella and all the usual things I bring with me everywhere eg wallet, mobile etc...I even managed to slip in a pair of spare shoes to bring to work for rainy days when I need to change out of wet shoes. This bag stays upright throughout my bus trip when I had to place it on the floor when it's crowded. The 2 handles are super strong n stays slightly tilted/upright and have helped me many times when I had to quickly bend down a little (not all the way down for other bags as the straps on those flops all the way down the sides of the bag) to quickly grab my bag to zip out if the way of alighting passengers. The bag holds its shape so well that i don't feel like I'm being dragged down one side when it's packed to the brim.

    My Dream Tote

    I am so so so obsessed with this bag! When I decided I wanted a new tote for work, I made a list of eight qualities that I was looking for, and this is the ONLY tote I found that had everything! From feet to a luggage strap to a laptop sleeve to structure, this tote truly has it all. Not to mention, the houndstooth pattern is BEAUTIFUL. My only small gripe with the bag is the tumbler water bottle holder. I absolutely love having one, but I definitely prefer the style of tumbler holders that are elastic at the top (with a slit in the middle for the handle) for easier access. I have found myself fighting with the velcro more often than I’d like when trying to access my drink. Beyond that, this is by far the BEST tote bag I’ve ever owned. If you’re on the fence, make the purchase - you will not regret it. Clare, you are incredible!

    Thank you, Peyton! I'm so so happy it's hit the mark for your wishlist - that's how I start my designs - my own wishlist and then see what I can add every time I reorder :) That's great to know re the tumbler - I avoided the elastic as it can give over time, and I needed to consider all the different types and shapes of tumblers and drink bottles around. With the weight of 1L bottles or larger, and angles that people carry bags on, I was wary that some might slip out or weigh on the elastic over time so wanted to make sure it was future proof. I will certainly sit on it and see what I can do to make it even easier to use though! Clare x
