We're solving your daily annoyances, one handy accessory at a time.

Bon Maxie began the way the best ideas do: with a frustration that refused to be ignored.

BON MAXIE

In 2015, founder Clare Spelta was on maternity leave, making earring holders by hand. A small fix, but it revealed something deeper. The design failures we tolerate every day aren't just annoying. They cost us time. And time, it turns out, is everything.

BON MAXIE

So she kept solving. Piece by piece, Bon Maxie grew from one handmade fix into a full suite of bags, wallets, accessories and life essentials built around the way women actually move through their lives. The obsession was always the same: anticipate what you need, before you need it, and design for that precisely.

BON MAXIE

Today, that thinking shows up in the details.

Stylish on the outside, relentless on the inside: the kind that earns a compliment at the door and never lets you down once you're through it. Pocket placement, lining, durability, a finish that looks as good as it performs – all details designed to disappear into your day and take the friction with it.
Because when your accessories do the thinking, you get back what’s yours: your day.

BON MAXIE

About our founder.

Clare Spelta—special needs mum of 2, designer, and obsessor of making life easier.

Based in Queensland (despite disliking the heat), Clare is mum to two, a son with a rare genetic condition yet continues to defy the odds, and a recent addition, who brings joy to the unpredictability of a life touched by disability. Our community has been a lifeline for Clare, initially allowing her to leave her corporate job to care for her son and channel her energy into creating a business that could work around her life. Realising the power of creating a remote-working environment with a specialised team, Clare always strives to uphold her values of kindness, quality and integrity in both her designs, her operations and her life.

Bon Maxie acknowledges the Traditional Owners of country throughout Australia and recognises their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to the Elders, past, present and emerging.
