Noooo… the JOY of this enormous recipe is that you bake what you need, then roll and freeze the rest. When you need cookies in an instant (10mins), whip them out of the freezer, slice up the log and you’re SET!! Visitors will think you’re a goddess 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

This brings back memories. The original recipe did the rounds of email back in the 90’s when I was at Uni and our housemates made it – we didn’t read the quantity though and we’re up to our ears in cookies that took hours to bake them all in our tiny oven – good times 😂 kept us fed for a few days too – although we blew part of our rent money on the ingredients 😬

I used to make these as a kid, but we’d also add in a chopped up block of nestle milk & cookies chocolate.

You can still buy quick oats, but they need to be blended right down!!

I don’t know much about oats. If they are not quick pats, can you elaborate on which ones you buy? Thanks. Looks delish
